CA Intermediate
About the Course
CA Intermediate is the second level of the Chartered Accountancy course, conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It builds upon the fundamentals covered in the Foundation course and delves deeper into core Accounting, Law, Taxation, and Finance.
Subjects of Study
The CA Intermediate syllabus is divided into two groups with a total of six papers:
Group I:
- Advanced Accounting
- Corporate and Other Laws
- Taxation
Group II:
- Cost and Management Accounting
- Auditing and Ethics
- Financial Management and Strategic Management
Eligibility
- Must have cleared CA Foundation, or
- Graduates/Postgraduates with prescribed marks can apply through Direct Entry Route (Commerce graduates with 55% or other graduates with 60% marks)
Registration Fees
- ₹18,000 for both groups
- ₹13,000 for a single group
- (Payable directly to ICAI)
Cutoff Date for Registration
Eight months prior to the month of Intermediate examinations to be held in May and November.
Coaching Duration
- Typically, 8 months of structured coaching
- Includes:
- Regular classes
- Practical sessions and problem-solving
- Doubt-clearing sessions
- Mock tests and case study practice
